The #1 person marketers need to follow
I believe, especially for marketers, that unless we’re constantly expanding our knowledge and improving our craft then we are falling behind. Anyone who doubts this can look what happened to the radio once TV came around and to Blockbuster once Netflix took over. Consumer attention is shifting once again at scale right now and Gary Vaynerchuk is at the forefront of this massive change.
Gary Vaynerchuk is an entrepreneur, investor, author, public speaker, and internet sensation. Gary started his marketing career growing his father’s liquor store from a $3 to $60+ million dollar business in under 5 years. Today Gary is the Founder and CEO of Vaynermedia, a 600+ employee marketing agency with a client base consisting of the biggest brands in the world like Pepsi, Budweiser, Unilever and more.
I first discovered Gary this year while on Youtube and must say at first I wasn’t fully impressed as his ‘tell it like it is’ public speaking style can be polarizing. By the end of the video, however, I was hooked and haven’t stopped consuming his content and learning from him since.
His style may be crass but there isn’t a single person who can hold a candle to Gary when it comes to sheer knowledge on the current state of marketing and he shares all his content for free.
Gary doesn’t force you to sign up for seminars, download ebooks or provide any info to get to his content, it’s all available online for free and it’s changing the way the people view marketing in today’s world.
If you or your company is trying to connect with an audience, Gary’s content is game changing.
Gary produces his daily content across a number of social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter and more. For starters I’d recommend following him on Facebook & YouTube and consume his content as it comes out. If you’re anything like me you’ll soon find yourself digging into his vast library of content from his weekly #AskGaryVee Show and Dailyvee, his (sort of) daily video documentation of his anything-but-ordinary lifestyle.
This isn’t Jim Rohn with personal development principles or Tony Robbins with motivational speaker content, Gary is arguably the best modern marketer and predictor for the future state of marketing in the world.
